Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, and profile photo. If you sign in with a social provider (Google, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) we receive a verified email and basic profile details from that provider.
• Pet information: names, species, breeds, photos, and microchip IDs.
• Pet health data: daily health logs (weight, temperature, mood, symptoms, food and water), medications, vet appointments, vaccination records, lab-report images and AI-extracted values, and developmental milestones.
• Booking data: facility reservations, dates, and usage history, scoped to your apartment community.
• Community content: PawSpace posts, comments, reactions, follow/block/mute relationships, and moderation reports.
• AI interactions: Pet Health Chat questions, Breed Identity photos, Emergency Triage symptom descriptions, Lab Report images, and Vaccination scanner photos, together with daily and monthly usage counters.
• Ad interaction data:impressions, clicks, and dismissals for personalised in-app ads. You can opt out at any time in Profile → Privacy Settings.
• Payment information: processed securely via Stripe and Apple. We never store full card numbers.
• Location data: used to find nearby veterinary clinics and pet-care services (only when you grant permission).
• Device & session information: device type, OS version, app usage analytics, session tokens (stored in device secure storage), and push-notification identifiers.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve KlubCanine services.
• Process bookings and payments.
• Send service notifications (booking confirmations, reminders, OTP codes, PawSpace activity).
• Power AI features including Pet Health Chat, Breed Identity, Emergency Triage, Lab Report scanning, and the Vaccination scanner.
• Generate predictive health alerts from your pet’s logs, medications, and appointments.
• Moderate community content through automated screening and human review to keep PawSpace safe.
• Personalise your experience and (opt-in) show relevant in-app ads.
• Respond to support requests.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers:
  • Google Cloud / Firebase: authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and hosting.
  • Stripe: payment processing for web checkouts.
  • Apple: in-app purchases and subscription billing on iOS.
  • Twilio: phone-number verification via SMS OTP.
  • Google Maps & Places: nearby clinic and pet-store discovery.
  • Anthropic: Claude models that power our AI features.
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and X (Twitter): only when you choose to sign in with those providers.
  Each service is bound by its own privacy policy.
• Your apartment community: limited booking and profile data necessary to manage facility access.
• Other PawSpace members: content you post publicly in PawSpace (posts, comments, reactions, profile) is visible to other signed-in members by design.
• Pet-profile recipients: if you generate a share link or QR code for your pet, anyone with that link can view the read-only summary until you revoke it.
• Law enforcement: when required by applicable law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We will never share your pet health data or AI chat history with third parties for advertising purposes.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records) or for service integrity. Specifically:

• Pet Health Chat transcripts: not persistently stored beyond the active session.
• Community posts and comments: retained while your account is active; removed when you delete the post or your account.
• AI usage counters: retained for quota enforcement and reset each day/month.
• Session tokens: refresh tokens live up to 30 days and can be revoked by signing out or from device management in the app.
• Payment webhook records: retained for at least 90 days for idempotency and reconciliation.
• Ad impression and click logs: retained in aggregate for targeting quality; opt-out users are not logged.

We take the security of your information seriously. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication tokens are stored in device secure storage. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and enable biometric login for added protection.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing.
• Export your data in a portable format.

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@klubcanine.app or use the Delete Account option in the app.

KlubCanine is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of KlubCanine after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
